Hungry Mother Island is a unique three bedroom cabin on its own island surrounded by Hungry Mother Creek at Hungry Mother State Park in Marion, VA. Located off the Back of the Dragon Trail & bordered by Hungry Mother State Park along with George Washington & Jefferson National Forest. Nearby multiple wilderness areas, superb mountain stream fishing, small lake fishing, swimming area & beach, wildlife management areas & miles of trails offer tons of natural amenities and outdoor opportunities.

On 6 wooded acres in a private mountain river cove outside Damascus, VA , our cozy, renovated 3-story A-frame cottage property fronts the cliff-flanked, trout-stocked South Fork Holston River. The cottage features 3 spacious bedrooms, each on its own level; a fully equipped kitchen; great room; dining room; laundry room; and a 2nd-floor loft accessing the 16'-wide balcony. A 20' x 12' deck offers space for outdoor relaxing and dining and opens to the yard with fire pit.

NO CLEANING FEES. NO TO DO LISTS BEFORE CHECKING OUT. NO PET FEES. Cozy, private one room cottage (with bathroom), run by a loving, easy-going, non-judging family. Cottage measures 12' x 24' (total of 288sq. feet). Very relaxed environment. Flat rate of $50.00. UPDATE: Deck is now enclosed with old window panes. Super cozy. Has a sink with hot/old water, a hot plate, large toaster oven, and utensils. I am am still putting finishing touches on it, but available for use. Pictures soon.

Whitewater between the Creeper Trail and river!

Our Whitewater cabin has two bedrooms with queen beds, one full bathroom, and sleeps four guests. The cabin faces the river and has a great view of a tranquil swimming hole from the porch. The back of the cabin is just steps from the Creeper Trail. This cabin boasts a well-stocked kitchen, a family room/dining area, a covered porch with a gas grill, AC, Smart Tv with satellite and Wi-Fi. Be sure to bring your account sign in information for any streaming services you’d like to use.

We are the perfect place to visit your children at E&H, your weddings at the beautiful E & H Chapel, or enjoy our beautiful mountains.

Resting on an acre of land and right off I 81 enjoy your stay in our cozy, country cottage.
