The Thunderbird Tiny House

The Thunderbird tiny house is located on the Thunderbird Ranch about 13 miles west of Mountainair, New Mexico. We are surrounded by the Cibola National Forest on all four sides. The property is owned by the Wester's and has been in their family for almost a hundred years. We also have other vacation homes for rent so if you want to bring another family we can accommodate that. This house is off the grid so we've got to be careful not to use too much electricity cannot run do not run hair Dryer

Horse back trail rides & excursions into the high desert for Pictographs, petroglyphs or rockhounding can be arranged. .

Relax, unwind, and unplug with a beautiful view of the Manzano Mountains in our cozy cabin. Mountainair was known as the “Pinto Bean Capital of the World” in its heyday and our land was used for dry-land bean farming. Remnants of homesteaders can still be found on the property. We now enjoy this beautiful location to raise Scottish Highland Cattle and can’t wait to share it with you! Our cabin will fit 2 adults plus a child comfortably with a queen bed and twin sofa bed.

Bathroom towels, hand towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Refrigerated air conditioning. Please inform host if you will have a pet.

Quiet and Beautiful Country Living. Wi-Fi throughout the Cabin. Smells & noises of country life. Doorway into the bedrooms is under 6'. Bedroom ceilings are under 7'. You have to walk through the smaller bedroom to get to the larger one. Accordion door between the 2 bedrooms for privacy. You can hear the coyotes and occasional dogs barking at night. You are welcome to wander the property. We also have ducks and chickens. We always have fresh eggs to share.

cute and tranquil home is conveniently located in the heart of the scenic small town of mountainair, new mexico near all local amenities. stay at this home 20 minutes from manzano mountains state park, 14 minutes from abo state monument and Salinas pueblo missions national monument. only 1 hour from Albuquerque and 40 minutes from Valencia county this home offers a peaceful stay away from the bustle while still within convenient distance.

Lone Pine Inn

Converted 1942 lumber and hardware store. Close to main street, 2 bedrooms, 1 queen bed, 1 twin bed with twin trundle. Plenty of floor in the living room for multiple cots/air mattresses (1 Queen air mattress provided). Non-smoking. Pets are welcome, fenced area in the back. Large parking area for RVs, trailers, or multiple vehicles. I'm the owner Cindi Smith and I grew up here. Our town has perfect weather and lots to do. Come visit us!

Stargazer Ranch

Retreat to the solitude of this Strawbale House with 29 acres of pinion and cedar pasture. 67 miles south of Albuquerque, Mountainair is known as "the Gateway to the Ancient Cities." It is an artistic town that rests beneath the Manzano Mountains. Hiking trails and national parks featuring Spanish and Native ruins are only a 20 minute drive from town.
