The view is unbelievable - bring your binoculars for whale and bird watching. The house has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and so does the cottage. The large award-winning garden was planted by Kirstenbosch botanical gardens' landscapers 30 years ago. Around 40 penguins live in the garden, which makes it one of the only houses in Africa that can boast that! Lottings the marvellous house manager / keeper is always on hand to help with anything and everything. There is also a games room with a table tennis table. Whale Song is an entertainer's paradise, fully equipped with everything you could hope for and high-end kitchen equipment etc. It is also a modest distance (40km) from Cape Tow, so invite friends to join you for a day or a night. Good old Bose surround sound Hifi with an aux cable so you can play your own music easily. Very quiet - no sign of a neighbour or a tourist. Close proximity to hotspots on the peninsular, including top restaurants and wine estates. Also suitable for corporate strategy getaways, teambuilding, photo / video shoots and experiential showcase meals and events. The house is super safe. has non intrusive CCTV and as it is next to a naval base with armed guards at entry to base over the rd from the house. There are two good new bicycles for you to borrow, as well as a blow up boat and some snorkelling and other beach gear. You won't ever want to leave - this is paradise on earth and is the most relaxing holiday house around. Entire place is yours. Access from the main rd and also a pedestrian gate with a code to Gay rd below. I'm always available to give advice or help with anything at all. Whale Song is a villa in Simon’s Town, a historic and increasingly trendy town. It has lovely restaurants, antique shops, and a great yacht club. Cape Point, endless hiking trails, SCUBA diving and swimming beaches are very close by. Rent kayaks and SUPs and enjoy the clear water and its rich marine life. Or just take it easy and relax before the wonderful view and many birds in the garden. The large patio is sheltered from the wind and is the best venue for hosting long sun drenched lunches! A car is handy but the house is serviced by main bus routes and is a 20 minute walk from the train station - it is then one hour by train (half of it along the coast) to the centre of Cape Town. The house is called Whale Song but it just as well might be named Penguin Song - we love the sound of the birds but be prepared to hear then chattering away till 10 at night and again from 7 in the morning in the garden!

If you need me, I am just a message or phone call away! The home is in Clifton, an exclusive residential suburb of Cape Town that showcases 4 immaculate beaches. The V&A Waterfront is a great day out for shopping, visiting the Two Oceans Aquarium, and taking Robben Island boat trips. If you are getting around - there is a very reliable bus transport system called MyCiTi. It’s safe & reliable. Also open-top Sightseeing buses are a great way to see the City and surrounds. But mostly visitors and locals use Uber - its quick, fast & cheap. The 2nd & 3rd Bedrooms don't have TV's. PLEASE NOTE: The home is situated on Clifton Steps street which is a flight of steps from the road, up or down, to the home depending on which way you arrive from. So you will have to climb steps. There is no private parking.

We are not able to accommodate children The first level (ground floor level of the villa)consists of the cosy decorated lounge with flat screen TV, a dining area and the fully equipped little kitchen which can be separated from the lounge by an artfully painted sliding door. A small terrace invites you to sit outside for breakfast or sundowners. From the lounge a staircase leads downstairs to the basement with it's bedroom, a passage to the bathroom(shower only)and the dressing room. The King size bed can be separated and configured into single beds. Our guests are invited to sit in the beautifully landscaped garden on their own terrace with sun loungers and side table or enjoy the big swimming pool . From here stunning views over the whole bay and the surrounding mountains as well as spectacular sunsets will delight your senses. We respect the privacy of our guests yet we enjoy to extend hospitality and the feeling of home from home .We are available under the same roof to advise,support,recommend and help our guests to make their stay a memorable one. Camps Bay offers restaurants, cafes, bars, shopping, and different beaches. It has been officially declared the safest area of Cape Town, due to privately organised street patrols and security companies. The beach is a 15-minute walk away. MyCity bus stop is circa 400m away on Geneva Drive with one route clockwise and another anticlockwise to transport visitors either to town or downhill to the Promenade . Both bedrooms lead to balconies, the views are spectacular. We are connected to a 24 hour security service that will escort you into the apartment if you are coming home late or alone. The whole apartment is available. Open plan lounge dining kitchen and two en-suite bathrooms, entry area and deck. I am an artist, so my studio (opposite to apartment entry) will be locked as I will use it as a storeroom. Located just a few kilometers west of Cape Town CBD, Fresnaye is one of the city's most affluent neighborhoods. The loft is just a short stroll from high-end Sea Point eateries. Head to Saunders’ Rock Tidal Pool on hot days for a refreshing dip. Unfortunately we only have street parking, but we are 100m from the MyCiti bus stop and we have found that most guests find using Uber, most convenient. If you prefer a personalized tour guide or shuttle service, we can organize that as well. Please note there will be extra outdoor furniture added to deck before your stay.
