Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. We invite you to come enjoy sunrises over the lake and sunsets across the field. This is a great option for Notre Dame home games as the cottage is only 40 minutes from ND. It is also a short 15 minutes from Shipshewana and all the attractions there (The MEC, Bluegate, and the flea market). The Edgewater Escape is just that, a cottage with a deck literally dropping off into the lake. You can't get any closer to the lake to swim, kayak, or boat. It is also a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of life, it's quiet and serene. Sand Lake is 102 acres in size and approximately 22 feet deep at its deepest point. When fishing, anglers can expect to catch a variety of fish, including Bluegill, Flathead Catfish, Largemouth Bass, and Yellow Perch.

A beautiful 1890’s farmhouse on a private lake. Excellent swimming, kayaks, fishing and a splash pad. A great fire pit next to the water, with plenty of outdoor seating. Immerse in nature-a bald eagle nest on the property, rare Eastern soft shell turtles (had babies last year!) frogs, fish, and a wonderful array of birds and other animals. Years ago, the lake (roughly 12 acres) was a working gravel pit, now a beautiful quarry-filled by spring fed waters.
