Unique living space attached to our covered riding arena. Approx 1500 sf area with plenty of parking in a very rural area close to hiking and swimming or rock climbing at Hanging Rock State Park, and Pilot Knob, as well as floating the Dan River or just relaxing watching the horses play in the paddock, enjoying roasting hot dogs or smores over the fire pit. Private property on our farm with many amenities, including Wi-Fi, full kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, gym available. Very relaxing place!

No running water inside, 5gallon jug provided. (No AC/full power without generator. Bring your own or rent one for a small fee)

We are five minutes from restaurants, a library, gift shop, gallery and Hanging Rock. There is plenty to explore in this quaint area, so your stay can be as relaxing or fun-filled as you’d like.

Sycamore Hill Cottage near Hanging Rock/Dan River

Sycamore Hill cottage is perfect for a couple, family, or a group of friends. (Also a peaceful solo retreat!) It is one big living space with a king bed, double futon, fully equipped kitchen, bath, and laundry. Guests have access to 38 acres of woodlands, trails and the cottage gardens. Big Creek is easily accessible, clear, and has great shallow sections for kids or just hanging out. Just minutes from Hanging Rock State Park, the bike trails on Moore's Springs Road, and the Dan River.

The Rock Retreat

This beautiful log cabin, previously known as Indian Creek Cabin, has been an important part of the Hanging Rock Community for many years. It began as the Hanging Rock Outdoor Center. The property is adjacent to the Indian Creek Trail area. It is within a few miles of the Lower Cascade Falls, Dan River, Moore's Spring bike trails, and of course, Hanging Rock State Park. Adventure awaits with ziplining, kayaking, canoeing, and river tubing excursions within minutes of the front door.

Pup's Place at Dan River Shores

Pup's Place offers a camping experience with all the amenities in a rustic cabin. Just a few steps away from the Dan River, a 10 minute drive to Hanging Rock State Park and minutes away from small town living in Danbury. There is plenty to do in the great outdoors: hiking, kayaking, tubing, biking, fishing or just sitting on the porch soaking in the peace and quiet. We welcome you to sit back, slow down and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you in Stokes County.

Foot Hill Farms II Hanging Rock

Unplug and reconnect in this private country home with oak, cedar and pine throughout. Enjoy a full modern kitchen, with open concept to living room. Main floor has two bedrooms and 1 bath with large shower. Downstairs is a pool table room, 3rd bedroom and full bath. Relax on wrap around porch with rockers and swing. Enjoy the fire pit, wood provided. Hang up the hammock and relax. 10 min. drive to Hanging Rock State Park and 20 mins. to Pilot Mtn. State Park.
