This location is minutes from I-40 (15-25 minutes to Greensboro/Winston. Please note, we live upstairs with 2 kids so there will likely be noise in the afternoon; inquire for details!

The Rock Retreat

This beautiful log cabin, previously known as Indian Creek Cabin, has been an important part of the Hanging Rock Community for many years. It began as the Hanging Rock Outdoor Center. The property is adjacent to the Indian Creek Trail area. It is within a few miles of the Lower Cascade Falls, Dan River, Moore's Spring bike trails, and of course, Hanging Rock State Park. Adventure awaits with ziplining, kayaking, canoeing, and river tubing excursions within minutes of the front door.

Please when booking with us keep inconsideration that this is an older country home 🏡 that we’ve fixed up alittle but not perfect, built in 1940’s. With that being said you can enjoy our small community from Belews Lake and Hanging Rock State Park 30 minutes away . We offer downtown shopping and tubing as well . Greensboro and Winston Salem are 30 minutes away. We have plenty of space for bringing your boats / jet skis for parking to our nearest belews Lake 14 minutes away

It is NOT outfitted for children. SMOKING/VAPING IS NOT ALLOWED ANYWHERE ON THE PROPERTY. Long term stays welcome! Convenient to the Triad and points beyond. It's safe & quiet, & you can roam most of the property. Multiple security cameras outside. NEW: Fenced-in yard for off-leash playtime for your dog!
