The Adelaide Hills is a refreshingly relaxing place to explore in Summer in the cool of the Hills; and winter wineries, open fireplaces, historic sites and warm, stone buildings of which Tara Stables is one. Built in the 19th century, this delightful abode offers warm, romantic vibes as you cosy up between the colourful stone walls and beneath the open rafters. Strout Farm Cottage still belongs to the Strouts who have lived here for more than 180yrs. Starting with Richard Strout, there have been 7 generations of Strouts live in this cottage. Most of the furniture, photos and ornaments come with a story of where they fit in the Strout timeline. Additionally, there are more than 20 cellar doors within a 1.5km, including Leconfield, Wirra Wirra and Down The Rabbit Hole, this is the perfect location to explore the McLaren Vale wine region..

Maunder Cottage Aldinga Township

We recognize the Kaurna people whose land holds our little cottage. Situated in Aldinga Township Maunder Cottage is a beautiful stone cottage that is self contained. It has one bedroom with Queen size bed. It has a fully renovated bathroom with a deep bath suitable for two people. The walls in the lounge room are made from limestone dug from the property. The building itself used to be the vets. We live in the house adjacent to the cottage. Our home was built in 1842.
