The Cozy Cottage by the Lake

This sweet, unique, tiny house is located on Pigeon Lake, just 15 minutes from Shipshewana and the heart of Amish country, and 55 minutes from Notre Dame! It is beautiful in any season, and offers a quiet retreat for families or friends. Guests have lake access, and the public boat launch nearby. Paddle boat, kayaking, and fishing from the pier at the house are all available from this property. (Fishing gear not provided) After a day in Shipshewana, relax in the outdoor porch and fire pit area!

A completely furnished apartment in the basement of our log home (our main residence) on 5 acres of woods above beautiful Shavehead Lake. Entrance into the apartment through a screened in porch and double French doors provides privacy and space to relax and enjoy the beautiful outdoor landscape. There are two bicycles available for exploring the surrounding countryside as well as a canoe, 3 kayaks, and paddle boat to use on the water. Cozy two bedroom cottage with a view. Deck right off living room to enjoy the view of the lake. Paddle boat, row boats, paddle boards and kayaks provided. Lake trampoline also. Sand Lake County Park located two blocks away to put your boat in. This is a classic Michigan inland lake, 102 acres, all sports with great fishing. The Cozy Cottage is one of five properties we rent out and is close to another cottage which are both located directly on the water.

The Michiana Event Center which is also Located in Shipshewana has many attractions. We are located in the middle of a small, quiet farming community with all Amish neighbors, so be ready to listen to the clipclop of horses going by. Enjoy the peaceful country sunsets.
