The Hut on the Brett

Our shepherd’s hut is situated in a private part of our garden on the banks of the River Brett in the historic village of Lavenham, a two-minute walk from the Market Place with its Medieval Guildhall and Little Hall, a 14th century hall house. Lavenham has much to offer with its listed buildings, independent shops, restaurants, pubs and two small but well-stocked supermarkets. Footpaths make it easy to access the surrounding countryside and enjoy views of the village and its magnificent church.

Nestled beside a 99 acre ancient woodland, the lodge is an escape to peaceful rural life where you're surrounded by nature and wildlife. The perfect place to unwind, the lodge envelops you in cosy luxury with eco-friendly products, beautiful linens and tranquillity in abundance. Views from the lodge across the fields where you might see deer, hare, foxes, buzzards, red kites, and beautiful sun sets. Dogs welcome. There are heath and woodland walks, RSPB Minsmere and a great village pub a short walk from the hut. You’ll love my place because of the cosiness, the comfy beds, the wood burning stove, the dark night sky and the views across the meadow. Fen Lodge is suitable for families, couples and solo adventurers. (Self-catering breakfast baskets £22 for veggie/£25 for meaty).

Our Shepherds hut is situated in the corner of our field surrounded by hedging and stunning views. If you’re a keen cyclist there’s many different routes in the area as well as many footpaths for avid ramblers. If star gazing is your thing then we can promise you we are not affected by light pollution and if you’re lucky you’ll hear our resident owls too.

Welcome to The Hut at High Street Farm! The Hut is nestled in the corner of our small working farm, with beautiful countryside views all around. We aim to make The Hut cosy and comfortable, with some luxury thrown in. The Hut may be small, but is fully equipped with everything you will need for your stay - mini kitchen with electric hot plate and microwave with oven setting, toilet, shower, basin, TV and of course, a comfy bed. 10% discount for stays of 2 nights or more.
