Cozy cottage/villa on the golden circle

Great place for families and friends to enjoy in a peaceful environment while exploring the southern part of Iceland. The house is located in the middle of the golden circle close to Thingvellir and 50 minutes drive from Reykjavík. The house consists of three bedrooms, two on the ground floor and a large mezzanine floor with two beds. It can sleep up to 8 people. It has a bathroom with a shower but there’s also a shower in the laundry room next to the hot tub for convenience. HG-00016412

Our grandparents built this house as a home for the family, now it is our country side Villa that we love very much. We hope you will feel the family love while you stay in our special Icelandic Old School Home. We have lots of bird life here, many potentials of great activities, walking by the ocean and exploring the country side, saying hi to the sheep. Some have stayed with us to write and find peace. Just a 5 minute drive from kayak rental, a swimming pool and an Elf and Ghost house.

For a couple or friends, rent this modern, compact 36 square metre cottage, located in beautiful surroundings a 45-minute drive from Reykjavík. Wake up to a stunning view of mountains and a salmon river, watch the bird life in summer, and enjoy coffee on the porch if the weather allows. In the winter darkness, you might enjoy a view of the Northern lights, but on a cloudy evening, you can watch the 50" satellite TV. Fully equipped kitchen, small washing machine and a hot tub.

Situated near a horse farm just outside Selfoss with a mountain view, not far from the seaside. Many locations are found near by which include all kinds of different activities & all their extraordinary experiences, restaurants & attractions. Gamla Húsið - The Old Farm-House

Gamla húsið is in Kirkjuferjuhjaleiga horse-farm, located in the south of Iceland, 35km -from Reykjavík in Ölfus and 3min. drive off Route 1. Perfect as either the starting point for an exploration of southern Iceland or as a base since it is close to the Golden Circle and a few hours drive to the glaciers and black sands of the south. Kirkjuferjuhjaleiga is a horse farm, on the banks of the salmon-rich Ölfusá river surrounded by beautiful landscape.

The Little House

The house is 25 square meters. standing absolutely alone on a one hectares plot of land. Small football field, trampoline and balcony. No one will disturb you, unless maybe sounds from the birds all around or the horses on next plot. The house is cozy and warm. Keep in mind that the main bed is 120cm wide.
