The Den

The Den 6 Foxcombe Close, is a spacious, highly specified purpose built retreat in the quiet village location of Swanmore. Less than half an hours drive to the hustle and bustle of Portsmouth, Southampton or Winchester whilst being surrounded by beautiful country side. With both the New Forest and South Downs National Parks within Hampshire there really is something for everyone. Did someone say PUB, no shortage of drinking holes round here, we could walk to ten but probably only back from four!

Little Brookwood

Little Brookwood is a newly refurbished, self contained annexe to our home with its own entrance and private garden. Situated on the edge of the South Downs national park, it is convenient for lovely local rural walks and benefits from a local shop and pubs - all within walking distance. Nearby historic Bishops Waltham provides more local shops and amenities. and the Meon Valley, Winchester, Portsmouth, Southampton, Marwell Zoo, and the beautiful New Forest are all within easy reach by car.

One bedroom cottage escape

Relax and make yourself at home in our charming 1-bedroom bungalow — the perfect retreat for a restful getaway. Enjoy your morning coffee on the patio or take advantage of the hammocks on the pond both with views of the surrounding garden.

The Piggery: with tennis court and games barn

The Piggery is a secluded flint built hideaway, with lots of period charm, set in the grounds of a manor house. Converted to a high standard it has it’s own private garden, access to the owners tennis court & a large barn with table tennis, table football & pool, wider house grounds including an island, surrounded by the river Meon. Numerous walks direct from The Piggery and a number of local vineyards are nearby. 5/10mins walk away are two super pubs and the very well stocked village shop.

South Downs Garden Retreat

Positioned right on the border of the South Downs National Park on the fringes of the Meon Valley, guests can enjoy access to a multitude of walk and cycleways. The South Downs Way, Wayfarer’s Walk, Monarch’s Way, Meon Valley Trail, The Forest of Bere and Old Winchester Hill are all nearby. Several superb country pubs are also within walking and cycling distance. The waterfront at Hamble and Hill Head and the cities of Southampton, Winchester, and Portsmouth are all just a short drive away.

Your escape to Woodrest starts with a beautiful walk through ancient woodland to a private and secluded meadow. We have two hand built cabins each set in their own acre of meadow. On arrival you will be met with the most stunning views of the Meon Valley. This unique stay allows you to switch off and enjoy the benefits of being on a family run farm, which has footpaths and woodland for you to explore. The South Downs Way is a short hike away, which leads to a wonderful nature reserve.

Surrounded by stunning countryside, on the edge of the South Downs, with wonderful walks from the house. Open plan kitchen-dining area & lounge, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs plus separate downstairs shower room. Sunny patio area with table and chairs & Weber bbq, perfect for watching the sun go down.

Nestled in the grounds of our home, River Dale Garden Cottage is the perfect self-contained retreat for 'getting away from it all'. Situated in the picturesque Meon Valley, within the South Downs National Park, Garden Cottage is just a minute’s walk to the chalk stream, River Meon and access to the Meon Trail (the dis-used Railway Line) - perfect for walking, cycling and horse riding. Centrally located for exploring the cities of Winchester, Portsmouth, Southampton or Chichester.

The Annex - sleeps 2/3 people

Welcome to our spacious and modern annexe nestled in the charming village of Waltham Chase, Hampshire. Located near the historic market town of Bishop’s Waltham, guests can explore its rich heritage and vibrant atmosphere. Surrounded by picturesque countryside, with quaint country walls and inviting pubs nearby, our newly renovated annexe offers the perfect blend of comfort and convenience for a relaxing getaway. This stylish place to stay is perfect for couples or small families.

The Woodshed

The Woodshed is right in the heart of the South Downs National Park, between the villages of Warnford and Exton, a secluded and peaceful space surrounded by a working farm. The Woodshed has a view of Old Winchester Hill that is magic. Activities in the area include biking, hiking, and angling, and three of the best pubs in Hampshire are within a 5 mile radius. As we are a little distance from the main track, I am happy to come and collect guests from Exton if walking.
