Rustic Cottage in a Wild Flower Meadow

Sitting pretty in a wild flower meadow surrounded by open fields, this barn conversion is countryside simplicity at its best: updated appliances and rustic furniture arranged for open-plan living to relax unwind and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. The barn is located in the meadow behind our thatched cottage. The space is entirely your own and is self catered with a well equipped open plan kitchen. We're on hand should you need any advice or assistance during your stay, though you'll have your own privacy and can interact as much or as little as you'd like. Enjoy pastoral tranquility here whilst being within an easy 10-minute reach of the medieval charm of Lavenham. Public footpaths are close by or venture further afield to admire the beautiful Cathedral in Bury St Edmunds. Once you arrive in the barn, there is a small collection of books about the surrounding area and county. We can of course recommend places to visit.

*Manningtree Beach - 17th century cottage*

A quaint 400 year old home, a stone’s throw from the river Stour. The perfect base for a country stroll, bike ride or lunch on the High St with pubs & independent cafes 2 mins away Manningtree, England’s smallest town is nestled within an AONB and was voted Sunday Times ‘Best Place to Live’ 2019 *Please note* - my home is right next to The Crown pub so there is some noise. My lodgers and I live just upstairs and share the garden. If you’re after a ‘middle of nowhere’ escape, this may not be it

Adorable one bedroom guesthouse near the beach.

Rest and relax at this unique and tranquil getaway within five minutes walk from East Clacton sandy beaches on the outskirts of Clacton on Sea. A few miles away there are Nature Reserves and places of historical interest. You can enjoy long walks and/or cycling further afield along the seafront. Clacton Pier is about 20 minutes walk away where you’ll also find a good choice of restaurants etc. The cottage has its own private entrance with parking. There are also regular train and bus services.

Unique getaway in stunning riverside setting

The Stables is in a beautiful peaceful part of Suffolk, on the River Deben, with footpaths, wild swimming, pubs within walking distance, birdwatching, views for artists, and fabulous lanes for cycling. Perfect for paddle boarders and kayaks too. The Stables have been converted into a cosy country cottage with contemporary furnishings, fitted kitchen, bedroom with super king bed, en suite bathroom, shower room, wood burner, 2 TVs and wifi, books and games, and tennis court (by arrangement).

Shepard’s Hut in Small Orchard

This is a stand alone unit totally self contained with shower and toilet. Unlike garden rooms this unit has wheels and a tow bar. The (should I say) Shepherdess Hut as it was used by a small holder during lambing to be close to her flock. Not suitable for long stays. More details below in The Space. Our small orchard has 2 x cherry, plum, 3 x pear, 2 x apple, greengage, apricot, mulberry, medlar and olive. We also have two 2 x raspberry, loganberry, Japanese wine berry and our own hops

Totally self contained annex in Thorrington

Calm, stylish space in small village with local pub and shop within a 3 minute walk. Private separate access with own large parking space to self contained annex. One bedroom with king size bed with en-suite shower room and quality double sofa bed in lounge. Newly fitted out. Local country walks nearby with coastal town of Brightlingsea three miles away. Lovely beaches at Walton, Clacton & Frinton on Sea. Easy drive (4 miles) to Essex University. 25 minutes to Colchester (zoo & castle).

Bijou cabin next to the sea

The cabin lies in the grounds of the hosts main dwelling which is situated within 200 yards of Frinton's spectacular greensward and beautiful sandy beaches. The cabin is within a very leisurely 10-15 mins walk to the facilities of both Frinton and Walton where there is an abundance of shops, cafes, eating establishments and entertainment. Further afield and depending on your interests there are many other outstanding places to visit which I'd be only too happy to discuss with you.

Now with super-fast Fibre Max internet, The Beach House is situated on the Essex Sunshine Coast, right on the bank of a tidal creek with stunning views of the sea in front and the river behind. Being in the Nature Reserve, we cannot accept dogs or pets of any kind; sorry. We do not let to groups; we only let to families or two couples maximum. Absolutely no groups of more than four guests or parties of any kind. High tide sometimes cuts off the house so please be aware of this.

Cottage with parking in the heart of Woodbridge

Refurbed in 2022 to a high standard Jasmine Cottage is a hidden gem on a quiet lane in the heart of Woodbridge. With off street parking for two mid size cars and a south facing (sun trap) garden, Jasmine Cottage is a perfect base for a Suffolk getaway. The cottage happily sleeps four but is perfect as a luxurious retreat for two. Location is amazing - Just a few minutes walk from the Market Hill, the Thoroughfare and glorious River Deben. Dogs welcome (fully enclosed garden).

Longleat

Ideal location whether you are visiting Clacton for business or leisure. A 5 minute walk from the train station and a 5 minute walk from the sea front. The town centre supermarket is a 2 minute walk away and so is the town centre. There is off-road parking for 1 car. Aside from the beach, popular local amenities include the pier and arcades as well as the cinema (£3.50) and there are plenty of great local restaurants. All within easy walking distance.

This beautifully restored period cottage offers luxury boutique accommodation, is centrally located within the village and within easy walking distance to numerous pubs, eateries and specialty shops. Lavenham is considered to be England's most well-preserved medieval town. With its winding streets, timber-framed buildings and quaint cottages, it is also Suffolk's prettiest wool town and is ideally located to explore the beautiful Suffolk countryside.

It includes a fully equipped kitchen with espresso machine, washing machine, tumble dryer, lounge/diner, second lounge with sofa-bed and main bedroom with en-suite bathroom with large shower, separate bath, basin and WC. The annexe has its own secluded garden. Only 1.7 miles to the beach.
