Dark Horse - boutique farm shed - horse friendly

Dark Horse provides stylish self-contained villa accommodation near forest and beaches on the stunning Barrington Coast, NSW. Set on our 10 acre farm on the site of an old dairy, we've built a unique one bedroom retreat including some of the original timbers to create an airy open plan space opening onto views of the small valley and paddocks, picking up the sea breezes. We're located just 8kms north of Nabiac on the Mid North Coast, just off the Pacific Highway. Forster is a 10 min drive.

Baevue Cottage

Baevue Cottage was once an oyster purging shed, but has since been transformed into a perfect couples’ getaway, nestled on the waterfront of Pelican Bay in the Manning River. Just minutes from Manning Point Beach, it offers the ideal spot to start your day with a sunrise walk. Features include combined living and bedroom area (queen bed), bathroom, kitchen (no oven or dishwasher) ceiling fans, electric blanket, oil heater, WiFi and a fire pit. A Weber Baby Q BBQ is available upon request.

In 12 mins you can be in Taree. 20-30 mins gets you to several local beaches or take a forest drive into the hinterland.

Upper Lansdowne is ~2hrs from Newcastle & ~25 mins off the freeway, but feels a million miles away with beautiful scenery & seclusion. Enjoy tranquil, epic views of mountains & farmland from a cute cabin overlooking a dam. Wake to the sound of birdsong. Located on a farm 400m from the road, the tiny house has an open feel, cathedral ceiling, queen bed, kitchenette & bathroom. Enjoy the peace and quiet of our valley, visit Ellenborough Falls & beautiful local beaches.

Hilltop Farm Stay - The Ultimate Relax

We are an Avocado Farm in Comboyne that offers boutique accommodation for those who are looking for a relax & reset in the countryside. The home is surrounded by avocado trees and mountain views. ‘Wylah Place’ is a one acre property located halfway between Port Macquarie and Taree and is just 5 mins drive off the Pacific Highway (M1). It is a great place for an overnight pit stop or as a base to explore all the Midcoast has to offer. The property sits at the foot of South Brother, looks out onto Middle brother and is surrounded by cattle farms. It is very scenic and relaxing, while still being close by to activities and plenty of places to explore.

Once a working dairy, now converted to a one bedroom cottage with a spacious, sun-filled living area, full kitchen, newly renovated bathroom and cosy Queen-sized bedroom with a beautiful outlook onto the paddocks.

Lenoroc is a 101 acre (40 Ha) farm 15 minutes drive west of Wingham at Charity Creek on the road to Mount George. Your accommodation is in separate cottage, with Queen Bed in Bedroom 1, Two King Singles in Bedroom 2. Enjoy the swimming pool and gardens and see the Cattle grazing over the fence. Our guests can walk or 4WD (yours) over the farm, or simply relax on the wrap-around deck watching the Alpacas, and weird Guinea Fowl .

Bowarra Farmstay on the Manning River

Bowarra is an 85 hectare biodynamic beef farm 12 minutes from Wingham and 30 mins from Taree, Saltwater and Old Bar beach. Bounded by the Manning river and Burrell Creek guests have access to plenty of freshwater activities. The house offers a peaceful and secluded stay complete with inside fire and outdoor fire pit. You are welcome to interact with us and our cows, pigs, goats, ducks and chickens. Pets permitted by request.
