Hayloft

Welcome to the Hayloft - a fantastic studio flat above the main home’s house with private access via a spiral staircase and private balcony with far reaching views over the sea and downs - just right for relaxing in the evening as the sun goes down. Perfect for short breaks and longer stays - close to the ferries and hovercraft - with private parking and access to buses just down the road. The flat is on the edge of the village and surrounded by farmland. The owners garden has regular visitors from the local ducks and moorhens. The area also has several buzzards and if you’re lucky at night you’ll see bats and barn owl. The garden is patrolled by our elderly boxer, Freckles, who loves to meet and greet our visitors and we have also started keeping bees at the bottom of our garden - a safe distance from us humans. The village has enough shops to keep you well stocked and there are several farm shops worth visiting within 5 miles. In addition there are several walks that you can take from the flat which will take you to the nearby beach and past the pub on the way home. If you're looking for a bit of tranquility in an unspoilt country side setting, a few minutes drive from various beaches, Ryde, Seaview and St Helens, then come and stay with us in our detached private chalet, set in six acres of gardens. Suitable for couple getaways. Our location is perfect for cycling, walking, nature watching and exploring the IOW. A full continental breakfast is included as well as plenty of essential supplies. A self contained annex situated in a quiet cul-de-suc, on drive parking available but a car is not essential as we are located within walking distance of Portsmouth/Fishbourne car ferry also we are 2 minutes walk from main bus stop. The annex comprises on suite double bedroom, lounge/diner/kitchen with log burner for cosy winter nights in (logs provided) Kitchen is well equipped with fridge, freezer, cooker/hob plus microwave. One Small well behaved dog allowed, not to be left unattended.

The apartment is situated in the heart of West Cowes, moments from the Red Jet, good quality restaurants, bars, yacht clubs and the sea front. The space has recently been built and is bright and modern. The bedroom has a king-size bed with luxurious Egyptian Cotton linens. There is a large walk-in shower and good quality towels. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a Coffee Machine. The sitting area is complete with nest tables and the wall-mounted TV has Netflix.

Studio apartment, on private driveway in an elevated position with fabulous views over the solent and off road parking (electric car charging available on request) Snug in the winter and cool in the summer, great for spotting red squirrels and all the cruise ships! A 15 minute walk from central Cowes and the red jet. It’s an ideal bolthole and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. 5 min walk to the sea for a cold water dip.
