Sæból is a historic farm in one of the most remote parts of Iceland. Visitors will find a truly authentic experience of life in the Westfjords, past and present. It provides amazing access to the mountains and the sea, and the opportunity to enjoy the remoteness and quiet that make the Westfjords so special. In Sæból lives a friendly sheep farmer known as Bettý (my mother) and she is the last remaining resident of Ingjaldssandur. She also makes beautiful handcrafts that she sells at her house.

Welcome to our farmhouse in "Lækur in Dýrafjörður" where you'll be greeted by unique natural beauty. The house stands on 80 hectares of ground where you'll find beautiful views, scenic hiking trails, and spectacular natural beauty and tranquility all around, all year around. There is access to a private beach with private road to it. The area is sensitive in the summer time because of eider birds and needs to be treated carefully and with respect. Our place is perfect for those that want to explore the Westfjords, with the three top destinations of the area within an hours drive. It is on the ground floor of our house, we live upstairs and are happy to provide information our guests might need for their traveling. The apartment is recently renovated and has great view over the fjord.
