Awesome place to visit especially if beaches are crowded. Cruise down 75th to this gorgeous park and walk trails with your pet or family, enjoy views of the Manatee River, take in history and chill.

It is right in Bradenton and documents the mission of Hernando DeSoto, one of the first Spanish explorers of our country. Very informative with live demonstrations daily. Full disclosure: I an an NPS Living History/Weapons Demonstrator back home so I am biased. Pyrate Week in just after Mothers Day!

Great walking trail. Pet friendly. Indoor musuem as well. Great palce to picnic, swim and fish too. Spanish American War. Conquistdador Territory.
