Border Ice Rink is situated next to Kelso Racecourse on the edge of town. Two winter sports are offered, 7 days a weeks, between October and March. Visitors are very welcome, we have ample free parking, inside there is a café and bar where they offer free WiFi Curling From Monday to Saturday, curling takes place. Across the ice pad you are able to play four games at the same time. Border clubs use the ice during the week for inter-club games and also competition against other clubs. There is regular coaching on Saturday mornings throughout the season from 9.30am, with new comers very welcome. Sessions on weekdays can be arranged on request for people who wish to try curling, with 24 hour notice required so a session can be organised. Skating On Sundays, there are Public Skating sessions from 2.45 – 5.15pm. Skates are available to be hired from a child size 8 upwards. They offer a discounted family ticket and special arrangements can be made for group bookings. They also have extra skating sessions around the festive period. Ice Discos take place on Saturday nights once a month
