Amazing food and little shops. Historical church is one of the oldest buildings in SF. Neat cemetery if you like that sort of thing :)
In 1776, Franciscan priests from Spain established this mission to convert the local Native American tribes to Christianity. This is the oldest surviving structure in San Francisco. The name of today's large and lively "Mission District" neighborhood is derived from this historic site.

Luckily, the park was recently renovated and is big enough that you're bound to find a spot you like. The southwest corner is good for a panoramic view of the city skyline (and usually far enough away from the folks enjoying their herbal refreshments on the northern slope). There's also a nice kid's playground, although it's geared more towards older kids.”
