Amazingly well curated book store on Vermont in Los Feliz. Great thrift/vintage shopping on this street too!
Quirky, local, great selection (solid kids’ section!) w/ everything from classics to contemporary (fiction & non). Sale section in back of store - always a gem there. Second store next door devoted to art books, journals, etc. Also, they have a shop cat. Yessssss.
Absolutely love this book store. Has everything you could want and more. Separate entertainment section next door.
“Vibrant French eatery lures locals to its sidewalk tables & red banquettes with classic bistro fare.”
“One of the few art deco, single-screen movie theaters left in town. It's really fun to see a movie here! Also, you could check out Downtown Independent, which screens independent films.”
“Featured in the film "Swingers," this throwback lounge offers classic Continental eats & live music.”
“Pro-tip: For one of the best sunsets in Hollywood, this is your spot. Take a tour of famous Hollyhock House - open certain days of the week - the original house on this property built by Frank Lloyd Wright for heiress Alice Barnsdall and her young daughter), or just bring a picnic and a cold one to catch the sunset on the grassy hill overlooking the city. For breezy, casual afternoon, this spot is perfect for everyone. All are welcome, always free.”
