Austin classic - Try the Mexican martini shaker and stuffed avacado.
True Tex Mex! They serve traditional Texan food and drinks until 2am. It is extremely affordable. It’s not bad (it won’t be the best food you’ve ever had but it’s good) and a favorite with tourists so I can comfortably recommend it to you. :) 12 min from AirBnB. Sometimes they have live drag shows,…
Classic student spot near campus. Food isn't the best (get the stuffed avocado) but the drinks are strong. Get the famous Mexican Martinis. They're strong, so you're only allowed to buy 2.
One of the best tex-mex in town, you will get a real feel of Austin here, as the Mexican Food at this place is purely Austin vibe. Check it out if you like Tex-Mex it is a must go-to. My suggestion- Frozen Margarita either Strawberry or Regular.
Old Austin favorite. Near campus but there is north location, too, that’s just as good. Good drinks, great service and decidedly Texan. Check out the all-you-can-eat brunch bar on Saturdays.
“Spider House is set on the University of Texas at Austin campus and is marked out by its antique, one-of-a-kind decor. Sit on the outdoor patio, which boasts art installations including garden statues, twinkle lights and swings, and enjoy a drink. The Spider House Ballroom also often features upcoming musicians in front of red-velvet curtains. Patrons can stay inside working until 2 am, but beware, this hot spot is rumored to be haunted. In addition, it’s almost scary how many locally crafted beers the Spider House has on tap, alongside baked goods from Quack’s Bakery and fruit cocktails from JuiceLand. Come out during the 5-8 pm happy hour, which features good drink specials.”
“Conveniently located, with ample indoor and outdoor seating. Plus everything else you expect from Starbucks.”
“Super tasty sandwiches, great lunch option, including for vegetarians. Definitely a local favorite.”
“It'd be a crime to visit Austin and never try this Texas favorite. They're all over Austin, but this is the closest one and they're always fresh because of high traffic. Grab the #2 or Monterrey Melt.”
