Entrance to this park is at km 10. There is a fee. And you should have 4 wheel drive. A very beautiful park with the largest cactus you will ever see.

This is the only place in the world you will be able to see such a spectacular desert with the Cardon cactus as it's home. Just a few short kilometers south. The best way to see the preserve is in four wheel drive. However most vehicles can handle the bulk of the road. Or get your tires ready and take your quad and a picnic! Sunrise or sunset is best! After a rain even better

Half day trip only 20 minutes away, you will need a 4x4 to follow the road inside of the park to enjoy the most amazing view of the giant cactus

the Cardon Cactus is the tallest cactus in the world. Some are over three stories tall. Sweeping panoramic vistas that make your heart pound with joy. Sergio is the gate keeper. very affable and funny. Bring him a candy bar and a soda and you have a friend for life. (he is isolated out there, no car)
