Carefully carved to ensure the ancient giant may thrive, you’ll tuck your side mirrors in and slowly roll through a piece of history. Instagram gold! Don’t worry if you happen to arrive when the redwood drive-thru tree is closed, there is an onsite honor box to pay your drive-thru tree entrance fee.

If you only have a short time available and aren't traveling south but want to experience driving through a redwood, the Klamath Tour Thru Tree is just a short distance away. It is one of 3 such trees, the other 2 are located in Leggett and Myers Flat off from Highway 101. The Chandelier drive-thru tree in Leggett is the best one but the Shrine Drive through tree in Myers Flat is more intriguing as it is hollowed out all the way through the top.
