The narrow streets of Bairro de Alfama, one of the most traditional of the city which consists of one of the favorite sights in Lisbon by travelers. The narrow alleys of this neighborhood are filled with colorful houses retaining the old building style, making visitors feel in the past centuries. Tram 28 passes through this neighborhood, allowing tourists to contemplate the simple beauty of these streets with all safety. If you take the 28 tram, you should definitely stop at Miradouro de Santa Luzia and have a drink while contemplating the amazing view! Afterwards you should visit Castelo de São Jorge, a beautiful medieval castle very close.

Passengers pack the historic no. 28 tram, which winds through Alfama on its way up to 11th-century São Jorge Castle. Views from Miradouro da Graça terrace stretch over the city to the River Tagus. In the evening, melancholy Fado music can be heard in some of the area's long-running restaurants. The bustling Baixa neighborhood, the center of Lisbon is just around the corner.
