A nice lake surrounded by tall Ponderosa pines and meadow. Facilities consist of ball fields, children’s playground, tennis court – not in the best of shape, 1.25 mile paved walking trail, other dirt trails, picnic shelters, bathrooms, dock and boat ramp

Great for a paved family hike, playground, picnic, etc. There are two entrances, one that leads to picnic shelters and a playground and the other entrance leads to ball fields, tennis courts and pickleball courts!

Nice paved path around the lake. Bring some bread to feed the ducks from the dock. If you have kids, I can share my favorite trail for catching crawdads.

Woodland lake is an easy hike from the cabin and has no admission. If you drive you will find plenty of free parking. Woodland lake has a paved hiking trail around the lake and picnic areas with all the amenities a cook-out needs. There are a number of play areas for children. The lake is surrounded by tall pines and lovely views. It is crowded with a wide variety ducks and geese in season. There are bald eagles, egrets, and red winged black birds. Other wildlife come to drink there. People fish off the pier. Others walk their dogs along the paved trails. There are romantic hideaways and charming places to photograph.
