If you love the water, you've got to take advantage of all this company has to offer--fishing where you actually catch fish (trout, reds, flounder and even sharks!), paddleboarding and boat tours of the May River (see dolphins and shore birds). When our family visits, the fishing is the highlight of their time here--ask for Allick Inglis.

May River Excursions is based in Old Town Bluffton, near Hilton Head Island. They offer a variety of boating experiences ranging from cruises to fishing, crabbing and shrimping excursions. I've taken their boat to Dafauski Island as well as their shrimp excursion. Great fun!
