Harakeke House

Relax in the best of rural Mackenzie country with the whole family at our peaceful holiday home. We are less than 5min from Lake Opuha, and you could be at 3 ski fields within an hour!!! Approx 40 minutes from Tekapo , 1 hour from Timaru and 30 minutes from Geraldine, and approx 2 1/2 hours to Christchurch. Situated on the sunny corner of a working dairy farm you’ll enjoy mountain views and peaceful starry nights. Plenty of room for the family with a large lawn and fully fenced section.

Ashwick

Ashwick is our accessible unit, sleeps 4, fully self contained with stainless steel appliances, gas hob, microwave, toaster, jug and dishwasher. It has a large bathroom with shower, hair dryer, heated towel rail and washing machine/drier. Heat pump, TV in lounge and bedroom and free wifi. There is a large patio to enjoy the mountain views. Note: Hot tub is an extra charge, request for a hot tub is by 2pm the day before your arrival same day reservations no hot tub is available.

Take a Break in the Country - 1 Bedroom Apartment

This apartment is situated 5 minutes off Inland Scenic Route 72 and less than 20 minutes from the friendly farming village of Geraldine. Use the apartment as a launch pad to local activities in Peel Forest (horse treks and bush walks), Lake Tekapo (ice skating, snow tubing, day spa and hot pools), Mt Cook (beautiful scenic walks and helicopter rides), or just a place to relax and escape from the hustle and bustle of town. We are a working farm running cattle, chickens and 1 dog.

Our cottage has 4 steps up to the deck, ideal to relax by day & watch spectacular stars of the milky way by night. Close to many outdoor activities in the heart of Mt Somers Village. Explore early history, try your hand at tramping, fishing, skiing, boating & golf the area offers. Strict 2 guest policy, do not bring extra guests. We live next door.

Struan Farm Retreat Geraldine

Beautiful native trees and birdsong surround your own peaceful, private, and quiet cottage and gardens. We have a star gazing area where you will be awed by the clear sky and see the Milky Way and all the constellations. Our Retreat Cottage is very well equipped with everything you need, including a 3 pin EV charging port. Your hosts, Drew and Sally, will meet you and show you where you can browse the large vegetable gardens and orchard.

Timaru Central

Built in 1905, and converted to 2 apartments in the 1950's, we live in the other apartment. The apartment is located in Central Timaru, being 5 minutes walk from the central business area and the Caroline Bay beach and facilities. Fully self contained, it suits a range of requirements from a single person staying overnight, to a family wanting a longer stay. Caroline Bay is home to a local small 'Little Blue Penguin' colony.

Country Cabin

The warm and cosy cabin is a self contained unit detached from the main house, with BBQ, private deck and restful native garden. You will have your own access/key and off road parking. Our place is great for couples. On navman route, we are 2 hours from Christchurch and 4 hours to Queenstown. Only 1 hour from Mt Hutt ski field and 1 hour from Mt Dobson ski field. Aoraki Mount Cook is 2 hours distance and Tekapo is 1 hour.

Fox Cottage

Fox Cottage is a modern 4 bedroom home, situated on Fox Peak Ski Field Road, near Fairlie South Canterbury. Due to its location, Fox Cottage is a perfect holiday destination for anyone who wishes to experience the great outdoors. With the Fox Peak Ski Field and the North Opuha Conservation Park only 10 minutes drive this home is perfect for those interested in tramping, fishing, mountain biking, horse riding or skiing.

It has been extensively renovated from its original 1950's state in 2018, and redecorated in 2023 - you will love the end result!
