This remote cottage on the Blorenge mountain is the perfect getaway, surrounded by woodland & meadows, with nature all around providing beautiful scenic views. If you're looking for an isolated spot to reconnect with yourself & nature, Craig Yr Hafod is for you. The property is up a steep, winding and bumpy road (with the last bit as a grassy track). We have hosted 100’s of guests in many different vehicles over the years but it is impritant that guests are aware that the track is challenging

Llanhilleth Miners Cottage with valley view

A wonderful little miner’s cottage located in the village of Llanhilleth in Blaenau Gwent. It's just a couple of minutes off the A467 bypass (A467 is NOT 20mph from M4 J28). Great for visiting the local tourists attractions, such as the UNESCO Blaenavon World Heritage center, the Brecon Beacons, castles, roman ruins and St. Fagans. Fast road to the M4 if visiting the coast. Dogs are welcome. Free on street parking and the local valley train to Cardiff Central Station just 6 mins walk away.

Only 5-minute walk to the Carpenters Arms country pub and restaurant and 10 minutes’ downhill walk to Llandegfedd Lake’s Visitor and Water sports Centre which also has a lakeside café and walking trails.

It is now an artist’s house- renovated and eclectically styled for a comfortable stay- you are invited to rest and listen to the river, before exploring the stories and histories on your green and pleasant doorstep. Nature reserves, pubs and shops are walkable, Brecon Beacons, Newport, Cardiff and Abergavenny drivable. Welcome home.

We have two self catering holiday cottages that are 4* graded with the welsh tourist board. They each have two twin rooms each that sleep up to 4 people. Bathroom(s) and additional toilet Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave fridge and freezer. Oil central heating via an external boiler and free view tv. Set on working sheep farm with far reaching views. Close to M4. Cardiff and shops and supermarkets as well as many restaurants and takeaways. We are close to many castles too.

Lovely cottage packed with ancient oak beams, doors, hearth with bread oven - if only these features could tell their stories. The cottage is semi-detached to the farmhouse ( also available to let, sleeps 8 ) but has its own large & secure private garden. All surrounded by historic parkland & set between the Monmouthshire Canal and the River Usk. The nearby village of Llanover is in a conservation area, the Brecon Beacons National Park is within a stones throw.
