Riverwood Hideaway

This OFF-GRID, solar powered hideaway is on the Knife River just a few miles outside of Two Harbors, Minnesota. THERE IS NO RUNNING WATER and LIMITED ELECTRICITY. WE DO HAVE WI-FI. The kitchen has a propane refrigerator and gas oven/stove. Solar power is used for lights and some outlets. Propane fireplace / furnace for heat. The "bathroom" is an outhouse. You bring jugs of drinking water. Hand and dish wash water provided. We supply coffee with pour over utensils, dishes, spices and firewood.

Lakefront cabin located at the site of historic Captain's Cove Boat Tours. The interior has been newly renovated to include modern fixtures and finishes to an open floor plan that maximizes the breathtaking views of Lake Superior. For epic panoramas of the lake head out to the yard for a hot cocoa by the bonfire, or a glass of wine at the charming deck on the bluff's edge. Or take the path down to the private beach featuring 280' of pebble and sand shoreline. Access to bike and hiking trails.

Where to go for that peaceful retreat? Look no further than our humble gîte! Sip coffee on the porch, feel the breeze and hear the wind among the trees. Adventures by day: hike, fish or day trip to Grand Marais! The bike trail puts much in reach, jog to Gooseberry, bike to Split Rock, or stroll to Thompson Beach. In the evening the full kitchen is a dream for a foodie, or head fifteen minutes to a brewery. Before bed put up your feet, play a game, read a book, or doze by the fireplace’s heat.

The Kalliot A-Frame is one of two brand new cabins on the Lake at Stay Boreal near Tofte, MN. We pulled out all of the stops in order to provide you with the best stay, such as a private panoramic barrel sauna, heated floors, a high-output outdoor gas firebowl amidst a beautiful patio space, free level 2 EV charging and so much more. Kalliot comfortably suits two with a capacity of up to four (1 king and 1 queen bed). It has a smaller, cozy layout. Kalliot: Finnish for 'on a rocky cliff'

Enjoy a North Shore escape right on Lake Superior in our charming 1300SF waterfront cottage! Privacy abounds with over 7.5-acres featuring a babbling creek, winding path through towering trees, and over 200' of shoreline. Built in 1955, the cottage has been meticulously renovated, inside and out, to highlight original features and the exceptional surroundings. Take your pups swimming in the lake, enjoy a backyard bonfire, venture out for seasonal activities, or stay in and admire the views!

Enjoy 200 ft of private lakeshore while staying in this spacious and serene home with sweeping views of Lake Superior. Take a quick walk to the nearby candy store and search for agates in the Knife River. Perfect location to take advantage of all the Northshore has to offer, as well as Duluth.
