17th Century fisherman's cottage + stunning view

Wake up to this stunning view, relax, and enjoy your morning coffee, afternoon tea or early evening G&T sitting outside our traditional cottage gazing at the fishing boats in the beck, higgledy-piggledy rooftops or out to sea. Regularly stayed in and painted by artists, this charming 17th Century cruck-beamed fisherman's cottage is quaint and cosy with an open fire-ideal for a romantic getaway / walking holiday. Dryden Cottage, Whitby Harbour - Beach side

This cottage is all about the view! Beach-side location at the base of the 199 steps - perfect for exploring the beautiful historic town of Whitby. Browse in the eclectic independent shops and sample the finest seafood in the local eateries. Walk up to the abbey, stroll along the piers and collect fossils from the beach, take a ride on the steam train to the neighbouring villages and explore the moors. Please note due to the beach side location of the cottage, there is unfortunately no parking.

Boulby Grange Farmhouse Cottage.

Cosy quirky 1 bedroom holiday cottage with stunning views of the sea with own garden & log burner. NB .. the bedroom is in the eaves so limited head room & accessed by reasonably narrow staircase/shower room is downstairs (therefore not suitable to elderly or tall people due to the limited headroom / due to size of the bedroom it is only a double bed). Situated on the Cleveland Way this is a perfect spot for walking & within walking distance to the lovely harbour village of Staithes (25 mins)

The Chapter House

The Chapter House is a spacious and quirky Grade II listed cottage nestled in the heart of Whitby. This central location is ideal for families and friends to use as a base to explore all that Whitby has to offer. The house started life in 1891 as a church Vestry and retains much of its original character. Please note, the church which it was part of is now a cafe and music venue. Beyond the Gothic stained glass windows, the Chapter house has all the modern amentities of a holiday hideaway

The Smithy at Cross Pipes, Goathland

The Smithy is a self contained stone built cottage situated on the edge of the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors. It was built in the 1800’s and was originally one of two blacksmiths serving the community of Goathland. The Smithy offers you a comfortable base to visit the local area. Spacious studio accommodation with a king sized bed in a recessed area, walk in shower and toilet, full kitchen facilities, wood burning stove, TV and Wi-Fi. There is an outside seating area and private parking.

This unique, historic character cottage has been designed to maximise the stunning views over the bay. The beautiful ground floor bedroom has doors leading to the sunny courtyard. Off the bedroom is a en-suite. The 1st floor living area, is a spacious relaxing space with a well equipped kitchen. Parking for 1 car. EV charging available. 45p pkw Guests must be 25+ There are multiple floors levels and various steps inside, this property isn’t suitable for guests with mobility issues.

Runswick Bay - Top Gallant - with great sea views

Top Gallant and is down in the Bay. We have a great veranda with amazing views. WiFi and a Smart TV which includes Netflix and Prime Video. Bedding and towels provided. We provide a free parking pass for the (“Homeowners car park). 3 nights minimum booking. The booking includes a bottle of wine. No Pets. The property is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems due to steps and a spiral staircase. Check in 3pm. Check out 11.00 am. I charge no cleaning fee but please leave tidy.

The Nest has a Log burner, central heating, WIFI,smart TV, Egyptian linen and twinkling fairy lights ,. Walks onto the moors from the front door , seating area outside to watch the sun go down with a large glass of wine, welcoming family pub across the road, Co-op, and fine dining pub also in the village. Train station to Whitby from the village. We welcome two dogs at the Nest.

Lealholm (approx 1 mile away) offers a village shop, pub, cafe and train station. Places to visit nearby include: Whitby, Runswick Bay (Britains best beach 2020), Dalby Forrest with miles of cycle routes and Grosmont the home of the North Yorkshire Moors railway.

The quaint village of Hawsker is a perfect spot for people wishing to enjoy the natural beauty of the North York Moors, the stunning Yorkshire coastline and the Cinder Track which runs from Hawsker down to Robin Hood's Bay. Also perfect for exploring the bustling fishing town of Whitby which is just a couple of miles down the road.

Arriving on foot, it is fully equipped with everything you might need. Close to Danby Castle wedding venue. We welcome all family pets and have plenty of fields for off lead exercise.
