Beautiful, warm and cozy cottage with beds for up to 4 people. It's located in the countryside 18 km from the town Egilsstaðir on road 931. It's on the south side of the lake on the way to Hallormsstaður the biggest forest in Iceland. The next grocery store is in Egilsstaðir. Good paved road, passable all the year. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful landscape, nice hiking trails down to the lake or up to the hills, good place to see the northern lights in wintertime.

Each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and a furnished terrace with BBQ. Egilsstadir town center is just 30 km away.

The cottage is on a small and quiet family run farm, 8 km to the town Egilsstaðir. These small houses are cozy and heated with geothermal energy, the cottages can be booked all year around. We provide linen, towels, tea and Coffee for no extra charge. The surrounding area consists of a river, trees, northern lights, beautiful nature and during the winter time you might even see some reindeers wandering around.

Our Honeymoon cottage is the perfect place for those who seek a genuine Icelandic experience with a private hot tub overlooking the fiord. The cabin is just a couple of minute drive from Seydisfyordur. You might even spot some whales while having a bbq. Don’t miss to hike and visit Vestdalur waterfalls that is a short walk from the cabin. The cabin is provided with dvds, books and vintage video games.

You’ll love my place because of the location, its close to everything you'll need. It is recently renovated so you will feel at home. Gestshús er bjart og hlýlegt sumarhús með hjónarúmi og einu stöku rúmi. Í húsinu er eldhúseining ásamt öllu sem þarf til einfaldrar eldunar, baðherbergi með sturtu og gullfallegt útsýni niður að Lagarfljóti. Bílastæði er rétt utan við dyrnar og gott aðgengi að húsinu. Gestshús er tilvalið í slökun frá borginni og við mælum með að setjast á pallinn með kaffibolla, góða bók og njóta.

Comfortable for a couple, 2 adults or a small family with a young kid. Enjoy a stunning view in a quiet place, 12 km from Egilsstaðir in the direction to Hallormstaður and Hengifoss.

The cottage is located near the owner’s farm with lovely views over the nearby stream to the mountains behind. It is around 12 Km from Egilsstaðir and is well situated for exploring the spectacular nature of East Iceland. The farm offers horse riding.
