Welcome and thank you for considering our cabin. We set out to create a space where you can relax and have fun with your fur babies. To many of us, these precious beings are our family, and what better way to explore the area than with them right beside you? No pet, no problem, you are of course, very welcome as well! Just 10min to Boone, 12min to Blowing Rock and the Blue Ridge Parkway. For skiing enthusiasts you are; 15min to App Ski Area 30min to Sugar Mountain 45min to Beech Mountain

Firefly Cabin is a luxury couples retreat on 7 private acres. With huge windows in every direction, you’ll feel immersed in the woods. Stargaze around the fire at the base of a giant rock outcropping. Relax in the hot tub or swing bed on the lower porch. Your cabin is just a few minutes from Blue Ridge Parkway, downtown Boone, the quaint town of Banner Elk, Grandfather Mountain and so much more! Spacious cabin is close to App State and 3 ski resorts. Two Kings, 2 Queens and 2 pullouts offer space for large groups. Guests love playing pool, fooseball, the Weber grill, porch swing and the fire pit. There are two 55" smart TVs in each living area for streaming. Guests have easy access to Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, Appalachian Ski Mountain, Blowing Rock, Blowing Rock Equestrian, Bass & Trout Lakes, Linville Caverns, Tweetsie Railroad, the Tanger Shops and more!

Almost anywhere you’ll want to go is within a 15 minute drive from the cabin; hiking, skiing, snow tubing, shopping, breweries and restaurants. High Speed Wireless internet and contactless check-in. Relax away the day amongst the trees or take the short drive into town where adventure awaits. Four wheel drive required to access the cabin when there is snow and ice on the road.

This lovely weekender or longer-term getaway retreat is +- 750 square feet of cozy comfortable space. It is a very nicely appointed rustic cabin of modern studio design. It has everything you need for that affordable vacation away from it all and is nestled on a prominent site among 15 surrounding acres of lush forest. Build a fire in the wood burning fireplace or outside in the firepit. Grill outside, sit and listen to the birds.

Surrounded on three sides by the Pisgah National Forest with a long-range mountain view from the deck, adventure awaits right outside the door. Sunbear also has high-speed internet for remote work and a backup generator. Cooler months offer backcountry hiking along creeks chocked with waterfalls off the eastern flank of the cabin. Summer features wildlife, Fireflies, and a nice quiet place to escape the summer heat.
