Little Bear Studio/Den is part of a house located at Little Bear Farm, an 8 acre private property with a large yard and field for romping with a dog, sledding, or walking around our pond and fields. Conveniently located near Banner Elk and Valle Crucis, we are close to shopping or the slopes. We are adjacent to 450 acres of forest that is part of the Blue Ridge Conservancy, offering hiking trails to the public. WE HAVE RECENTLY MADE SOME POSITIVE UPGRADES NOT REFLECTED IN PHOTOS OR DESCRIPTION.

Our backyard is Grandfather Mountain, and Tanawha Trail is within walking distance of the property for hikers. Grandfather Mountain, Price Park, Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, wineries and and all of the restaurants of Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk are minutes away. Our log cabin nestled in the “High Country” of North Carolina has been in the family since 1979 when my grandparents, looking for a place to retire, moved here after falling in love with the area. The cabin was originally built in Virginia but was moved to Valle Crucis in the 1950s. Our dream has been to turn it into a peaceful mountain get-away for people looking for a break from the busyness of life to enjoy some time in the valley to rest, relax and explore the area.
