Gadestatt is a traditional Maiensäss. A Maiensäss is a cultural peculiarity of Swiss history. These simple but beautiful wooden buildings used to be inhabited on the Alps during the summer. From here the cows were guarded and cheese was made from fresh milk. Gadestatt offers you an authentic overnight accommodation with lots of charm and attention to detail. Don't expect a trendy & modern loft! We provide a very basic and very simple double room with adjoining private (a bit dated) bathroom and no kitchen. Why take it? Because it’s a clean place for sleep, in the city-center with great breakfast and because we are one of the few listings in town including the «Ticino Ticket» for FREE use of all public transport in Canton Ticino (boat cruises and mountain cable-cars excl.)

This is our home. We are a family of three and we have a dog. We are happy to accommodate everyone who would like to discover our wonderful valley. Parking is available 150 meters from our house. It is a public parking and it is free. We live in the old part of the village, it is a quiet place.

Das Zimmer ist ein Budget-Zimmer weil es sich direkt neben dem Frühstücksraum befindet. Es kann am Morgen ab 8 Uhr etwas laut sein. Nicht unbedingt geeignet für Langschläfer. Sonst ist es sehr ruhig. Das Zimmer ist sehr schön und hat ein eigenes Bad, einen Fernseher und einen Kühlschrank.
