Hello! Thank you for considering one of AzoresHome properties for your holiday in São Miguel Island. This is a self catered property and we expect you to be independent, but if necessary, you can count on our support within our possibilities, to resolve any situation that may eventually arise. Note that the island's climate is very hot and humid, which encourages the appearance of some “undesirable guests” such as cockroaches, lizards and ants. Despite quarterly pest control, in a country house it is impossible to completely eliminate these pests that proliferate across the island. To minimize the entry of these animals, keep doors and windows closed at night as they roam and fly during the night. We locals are used to all this type of wild life but we understand that you are not, so, If you are not a fan of local wildlife this is not the place for you to choose. Casa da Vila

A Casa da Vila é um espaço muito acolhedor e renovado. Irá estar perto de tudo ao ficar neste lugar bem-localizado. Supermercados, e outros serviços, a uma distância de 5 a 10 minutos a pé. O mercado onde irá encontrar sempre fruta fresca entre outros produtos regionais fica mesmo de frente da moradia. A famosa fabrica das Queijadas da Vila Franca do Campo fica próximo do alojamento bem como, Whale Watching, Kayaks, a ida ao Ilhéu de Vila Fanca do Campo, e a praia são quase obrigatórias!

Waterfall Life: immersed in secluded nature

A converted stone watermill at the bottom of a small valley, between two waterfalls. Walking in, you half-expect to have stepped back a century. The sound doesn't stop—it follows you to sleep and is the first thing you hear in the morning. You leave the car on an old bridge above and walk down a short rustic path; below it, the property opens up. Two villages and a small market sit a hundred meters back, reminding you civilization is still out there—but down here you're in your own world.

Esplanada do Ilhéu

Cosy house with a magnificent ocean view and the most famous landmark in Azores - Ilhéu de Vila. Strategically located in Vila Franca do Campo, in the central part of the São Miguel island, which makes it an excellent starting point for trips to every corner of the island; it is well connected by expressway with the capital of the island and with the airport (about 20 minutes by car). A lot of restaurants within a walking distance! The unique microclimate makes the town extremely sunny.

We live in Vila Franca do Campo for more than 30 years and we think this is the perfect town in the island to spend some relaxing holidays. Casa das Taipas is a 2-bedroom house in the heart of Vila Franca, right in front of the sea with an outsanding view to the Atlantlic Ocean and Ilhéu, a volcanic islet known among the villagers as the Princess Ring. We´re looking forward to hear from you!

Casa do Lagar is one of the 3 villas of Quinta Velha das Amoreiras, an agricultural property located on the quiet outskirts of Vila Franca do Campo, in the center of São Miguel Island. Casa do Lagar is an entire house inside our farm. It has one double bedroom and two single beds on the mezzanine above the living room. A car is required.

House with Suspended Living Room

Our Retreat is a rural nineteenth-century house, restored with the desire to conserve the time of construction characteristics. Not only did we keep the main structure of the house, but also the fire oven and the respective chimney, the mill of wine production and the basalt stone floor . And, to finalize we added a suspended living room - literally a glass cube.
