Family Cabins - 2 bedrooms

The Institute of Awesome is an eco-lodge overlooking the coast in 110 acres of bush on the foot of Karioi. Grab two bedrooms at the lodge. One for the adults (King bed or can be 2 singles), one for the kids (4 single beds) in the next room. Peace and quiet. 🛌💤 All the other facilities are shared at the lodge, clean hot showers, cooking facilities, huge fridges in the camp kitchen. We are not 5 star but the lodge is relaxed, rustic with a tonne of character, serenity and plenty of nature.

Walk along the awa, enjoy a bonfire at the firepit, walk up to the prayer hut for some peace or see local glowworms light up the bush.

Private home on 2.5 acres of gardens. We are near Mount Pirongia which is a volcano. Great walking tracks. Close to Waitomo Caves and Hamilton Airport. We welcome guests with a glass of wine or cup of tea. Breakfast is sugar free muesli and fresh fruit and or free range eggs from our own chickens. We enjoy meeting guests and have a 9.8 review from booking.com.

Our comfortable self contained one bedroom unit sleep up to four guests these units have a queen bed in the bedroom and two single bed in the living area (this configuration may change slightly) motel units are equipped with a private bathroom & shower.
