This family-friendly cottage is set in the ancient village of Brightwell-cum-Sotwell, located in South Oxfordshire. Modern facilities including bifold doors private off street parking space and a pretty rear patio away from the main house. Excellent links to Oxford (11 miles), Henley on Thames (12 miles) and good motorway links. The property is within walking distance of the historic town of Wallingford with its beautiful castle ruins, pubs & local amenities with walks along the river Thames.

The apartment is only a short walk away from Wallingford town centre yet the village offers its own rural charm. The newly refurbished The Bell pub, offers a great selection of ales, wines and food and is within walking distance. IMPORTANT: ******* Check in, from 2 pm. Please do not arrive any earlier without first consulting us AirBnB will implement a hefty service fee for all hosts from 25 April, hence the price jump. Castle Loft, Central Wallingford

Wallingford was once home to one of the strongest and most important castles in England. In 1067 William the Conqueror instructed the building of the castle on his way to London to take the throne. In 1502 Henry VIII inherited the castle. On 17 November 1652 Cromwell’s Council of State ordered its demolition, making way for this newly built loft apartment within the castle boundary. Just 3 minutes walk from shops bars and restaurants, downstairs shower & cloakroom, gas central heating and WIFI.

The Oak Barn, your own space in a Thameside hamlet

A beautiful private space all to yourself, the Oak Barn has great character & enjoys lovely views over fields to the Chilterns beyond. You have your own entrance & key so can come & go as you please. The hamlet of Preston Crowmarsh lies on the river Thames & is a great place to wild swim & watch red kites. A 5 minute walk takes you to the Thames towpath & an 8 minute walk to the bus stop for Oxford and Reading. We leave you to enjoy your privacy but are next door in the main house if needed.
