Foley's Cottage - Restored 18th century Farmhouse.

Foley's Cottage is an old (18th century), restored , traditional, stone built farmhouse on a working family farm. The cottage has been restored sympathetically using original and locally sourced recycled materials. The roof timbers for example were sawn from trees grown on the farm. Also the kitchen units were handmade by a local craftsman, from recycled pitch pine. There are old beams and traditional real pine boarded floors. In addition, the cottage has all modern conveniences.

Our groundfloor farmhouse is located less than 2km from many of Comeragh mountain walking routes Our location makes our home very special, we look directly onto the Comeragh mountains, 5 minutes drive from Kilclooney wood and Coumsingaun lake walk. We are a short drive from Crough woods and Mahon falls. Clonea strand, Bunmahon and Stradbally beaches are a 20 minute drive. After a busy day you can look forward to relaxing at the fire side or outside in nature.

A perfect base to explore the Copper Coast, its many beaches and the Comeragh Mountains all within 10km. The property is situated in a quiet residential area making it suitable for all. We have enjoyed special Christmas gatherings and spent long summer holidays enjoying the spectacular beaches in the area including the one at the bottom of the garden!
