The Peacock Perch- a lakefront cabin in Melrose

The Peacock Perch is named after the resident peacocks family. The suite is connected to an occupied house by a locking breezeway. The perch is situated atop a hill looking out on beautiful Lake Rosa. We swim, fish and boat regularly because Rosa is a clear sand bottom lake! The walk from the cabin to the lakefront is down hill and semi steep, but terraced. 🦚Short stay cleaning fee $50 🦚morning check in 🦚late afternoon check out 🦚no minimum stay, come for just a single night if you wish!

Awesome sunsets - Silver Sands is one of the few area lakes that is full and natural spring fed. Water is crystal clear and soft yes soft. 2 private decks, laundry room, and 2 carports. Two kayaks, Lake front swimming and fishing - come relax. 5 minute drive to groceries and gas. New fast WiFi , interior paint and metal roof. Pets are welcome but don’t we do charge a fee. We also charge a late checkout fee. Fireplace is not in service. RV pad with electric and water at 100 night option .

Great fishing is around the bend, or off the dock. Conveniently situated in the middle of the Ocala national forest, you'll be 5 minutes from Salt Springs. Silver Glen and Juniper Springs are 15-20 mn away. This rustic cabin is surrounded by graceful live oaks and is often visited by wildlife like deer, bear & sandhill cranes.

Modern Cottage on Private Spring Fed Lake

For some reason Airbnb has us listed on Redwater lake, however, we are on our own private lake next to it. Our cottage is set on a gorgeous spring fed private lake in the woods. If you are looking for peace and quiet, a romantic getaway or fun with your kids, this is the place to be! Kayak around the lake and watch the gorgeous sunsets, take a dip in the cool water, sit around a fire and gaze at the many stars in the sky, or simply just relax in the beautiful surroundings. ☀️

Do you love to play in nature but still have our creature comforts? This A frame in the Ocala National Forest is the spot. There are 2 springs both 5 minutes from the house, Salt Springs & Silver Glen Springs. Beautiful Juniper Springs, Silver Springs and Alexander Springs are all a hop, skip, and jump away. This fully loaded A frame is stocked with a shed full of fishing gear. Mosey down to the boathouse and try your luck fishing right in the backyard at the canal.
