A short distance from Rt 70 as you travel down scenic route 17 following a bustling trout stream to Beechnut Springs entrance. After you arrive & settle into your secluded cabin, you will find many unique activities & quiet places in this serene setting amid the wonders of quiet waterfalls, easy walking paths, a wildlife haven, natural running streams & "The Bog Shack Snowball Stand" Welcome to paradise!

A quiet 17 acre, ONE room cabin set on a private small lake, fishing, swimming, and kayaking. Equipped with a full kitchen, a grill, 4 OUT DOOR showers, no showers in cabin. Sleeps 4, 1 QUEEN SIZE BED AND 1 PULL OUT HIDE-ABED. There is a $25/PP per day for extra guests , with prior approval by host. Pet friendly. Cameras are on site. 1 at the parking lot, 1 on the side deck, back deck, covered porch, up stairs open covered card/chest room, 2 on the main dock & water, 1 outside stone patio

Welcome to John Pope Cabin Nestled in foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, John Pope Cabin overlooks an open field where hawks hunt, bears sometimes stroll, and our neighbors’ horses peer over the fence. Feel free to pet them but don’t feed them! Built in 1865 by a Confederate soldier returning from the Civil War birthed and raised 11 children here. The cabin remains rustic, comfortable, and full of character. Ahh…the porch. Relax in the swing, watch the fields change with the light.
