Welcome to "Inviting on Ikitara ', a cosy stylish 2 bedroom house located minutes from the historic City of Whanganui. Whanganui has great shopping, supermarkets, library, museum, art gallery, cafes and restaurants. The house is well positioned for access to main roads There is a double bed in each bedroom. Relax in an open plan lounge, with TV, heat pump and log effect electric fire. The full laundry is off an integral lockable garage plus parking on driveway or street. Not completely fenced.

Casa Nui - Executive Retreat

Architecturally designed, 1970s classic in St Johns Hill. Peaceful, secluded space surrounded by greenery yet just a short drive or walk to town and Virginia Lake. Perfect for small groups or large families. Casa Nui has three spacious double bedrooms and comes with a dedicated workspace, multiple living rooms, large kitchen and two private outdoor areas. Looking for extra rooms? Casa Iti, a one bedroom self-contained flat is situated on the same site and can be booked in tandem with Casa Nui.

The Beach House - stunning sea views and sunsets

Kick back and relax at our stunning beach house. Amazing views of our west coast beach and plenty of space to chill out. Close to park and beach. 15 minutes from town. Set up for fishing and for kids. Please note we have amazing views of Kai Iwi beach and it is a short walk down the hill to the beach. Under kiwi beach tradition we ask that you leave the beach house as you found it and follow our house rules and Covid procedures. Linen is available for $10 per person to a maximum of $50. Thanks

“Be our Guest” Air BnB

Hi - I offer a warm, welcoming, sunny space with everything you need. A modern kitchen and bathroom provide a comfortable family set up with a lounge area leading to the pool. Please note that the nightly rate is for up to 4 people and includes breakfast. There are 3 bedrooms ideally suited to 5 guests however having 2 singles in one room allows for 6 if required. This can be reconfigured to a queen and a single in the largest bedroom allowing more space in the single room, if preferred.

Soak up the Sunset Beach House

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space, with amazing views of the sunset. Fully renovated in 2020 Cook a delicious meal in the well equipped kitchen, then dine on your choice of decks to soak up the rural or sea views. Just a 7 minute walk to the popular Castlecliff beach for a swim or take a stroll along the black sandy beach, call into the Citadel for a meal or drink on the way home. Ohakune is an hours drive to enjoy the great walks or skiing. 4 square and laundromat close by

The Red Barn - Rural but close to town.

The Red Barn provides a rural retreat, a quick 7-minute drive to vibrant Whanganui city. Local café and brewery down the road and close to the Windermere Berry Farm. A self-contained cottage set privately in the grounds of our property offering options for whatever break away you are looking for. Sit and relax outside in the sun, or stoke up the fire and chill out, or grab your bike and explore the country roads. Dedicated EV charger, type 2. Secure storage for bikes.

Mid-Century Modern Masterpiece

This iconic 1960 family home was designed by local architect Don Wilson, a student of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. The midcentury modern design features a cantilevered terrace, non-load bearing exterior walls, floor-to-ceiling windows, and built-in furniture. It has been beautifully maintained and tastefully restored, with original features like the stereogram, curved wooden panelling and louvered windows. The Wilson House won the 2014 NZIA Enduring Architecture award.

ArtShack at the Beach

ArtShack offers a unique opportunity to experience the creative heart of Whanganui without leaving the beachhouse. Local artists' works are displayed throughout the shack for purchase. Or ring your favorite artist to view their work. The popular cafe Citidel is just a street over with a short walk to the beach. ArtShack has a sunroom providing a third sleeping space with a king single bed.
