Baywatch Studio - incredible views

This recently renovated, spacious studio is the perfect base to explore everything Whangarei Heads has to offer. Pristine beaches, snorkeling, diving, surfing, & stunning walks for all levels of fitness are just a short drive away. Soak in the sensational views and the peaceful surroundings. It is especially lovely relaxing on the deck as the sun sets. Perfect for a couple or small family- floor mattress on request. It's a short walk to the shops and a 25-minute drive to Whangarei town basin.

This studio is set in a beautiful quiet environment, with native trees, bush, and serenity. Only a few minute's drive from central Whangarei, this offers you the best of both worlds. Drive into town or other close by attractions then come back to relax away from the busy city life. We have all afternoon sun and amazing sunsets to watch and enjoy with a glass of wine on the deck. We are two minutes walk away from one of the beautiful Parahaki walks which takes you to the lookout at the top.

Garden Hill Cottage, Maungatapere

Away from the hustle bustle, enjoy this quiet serene spot. The property is well off the highway and the neighbouring orchards screen us from traffic noise. The cottage is nestled between small avocado and mixed fruit orchards, with a view out to the small pond and post’n’rail fenced paddocks beyond. Last minute bookings are usually no problem - we respond quickly. Relax with the family (with up to 3 children) in this organic permaculture lifestyle block with animals that love being fed.

Marina Vista Cabin - Quiet Secluded Beach

This is a small cabin suitable for short stays, the bedroom is small but it is compensated by the location, deck, bathroom & beach which are great. Sit on kayaks & stand-up paddle are available free of charge. Tidy comfortable cabin just meters from a lovely private beach & walking distance to cafes, fishing club & pizzeria. No road noise, safe swimming, kayaking or trips to the Poor Knights Islands. BASIC cooking only; BBQ, Fridge, plates, cups, glasses, etc. Great eateries near by.

Upmarket Central Guesthouse

This is a special property full of history. Although central to town, it is large and quiet with established gardens and mature trees; set back from the road behind two other properties. The property boasts elegance and privacy with its long driveway, electric gate entrance, surrounding brick wall and showcasing a historic 1906 Villa homestead (your host's home). The Guesthouse is a fully renovated cottage that sits privately behind your host's Villa, with views onto Parihaka Mountain.

Knights View Retreat - Tutukaka Coast

This unique retreat is surrounded by native bush and offers stunning views of the Poor Knights Islands. Our private guest house includes a kitchenette with microwave, kettle, toaster, bar fridge, air fryer, and slow cooker. A tiled bathroom with a walk-in shower and heated towel rails and a large private decking area with BBQ. There is an outdoor shower and drying area for dive gear/wetsuits with plenty of room for those wanting to bring their surfboards or kayaks.

Studio 44 - Central 1 bdrm studio in Riverside

Renovated with unique touches, our 1 bedroom Studio space is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. A 15-20min walk along the Hatea Loop gets you to the Town Basin, home to newly opened Hündertwasser Museum, Wairau Māori Art Gallery, waterfront dining, and centre of town shopping. Best for 1-2 guests, but can snugly accommodate up to 4. Onsite carpark next to the self check-in studio apartment, fully detached & separate from the main house dwelling.

Rose's Cottage

A self contained cottage. 1 minute walk from a long, white sand popular surf beach and 2 minutes to a beautiful tidal estuary. The cottage is behind my house in a semi tropical lush garden. Pataua is a perfect place for walking, surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking or just relaxing. The garden is fenced so safe for babies and children or a small dog. My small dogs Ody and Tom share the garden. They are full of life but super friendly and gentle.

Blanca Guest Suite

Nestled 5 minutes from Whangarei city, this newly built space is waiting to be enjoyed. Attached to the main house, with a private entrance and parking, this guest suite is fully separate with its own kitchenette, lounge with TV, bedroom and en-suite. Situated close to the Whangarei Falls walking track, Abbey Caves & the mountain bike park nearby, there is plenty to explore! Come for a relaxing weekend away or a peaceful mid week work stop.

Buggles - a hideaway close to town

At Buggles you will find a very quiet and conveniently located guesthouse to meet all your needs in a peaceful countryside setting only 3 kms to the CBD. Spacious apartment nestled amongst beautiful gardens, your mornings will be greeted with the bird chorus, bunnies scampering through the garden (naughty little things) , and cows and horses just over the garden gate. Waterfront cycleway nearby. A truly rural setting close to town.

Peaceful Garden Cabin

Our cabin is a cosy retreat set in our garden. It has everything you would need for a comfortable stay. It is only 20 minutes from central Whangarei and 10 minutes from Kamo, Maungatapere and SH1 so if you are travelling it would be great a place to stay. Our garden cabin would be suitable for very good value medium to long term stays.

Set just back from the edge of a cliff bordering the Whangarei Harbour you will find a private 1 bedroom cottage, fully equipped with a kitchenette and bathroom, surrounded by sea views and native bush. A short stroll through the Puriri trees will lead you to your very own secluded beach.
