On The Rocks

Ultimate in privacy, yet two minutes from downtown Frankfort! This cabin-style home (think Gatlinburg!) sits on three wooded acres. Long, rambling decks on three sides (one covered, one fully screened, one open air). Our adjacent farm surrounds the property, making it even more private. This home sits high on a bluff above downtown Frankfort & the Kentucky River (our farm borders on the river). Just three miles to Buffalo Trace Distillery (if you could fly, it's way closer than that!)

Goose Creek Getaway--A Classy Country Cabin

This well-furnished cabin is surrounded by 18 acres of privately owned fields and woods. A wrap-around deck with a hot tub (extra) provides striking views. Hiking trails, fire pit, gas grill, golf cart, pond, laundry, Direct TV (3), internet, stereo, equipped kitchen and games all make for a fun country stay. Rising Star and Belterra Casinos are closeby, and a park/boat ramp on the Ohio is nearby. Rising Sun and Vevay are short drives, and the Arc and Creation Museum are both within 1 hour.

If you're looking for marble countertops, this may not be your place. But if you’re seeking quiet, character, and a taste of how things used to be, with a modern twist, welcome to our 1800s-era cabin. Renovated in 2022, the cabin is comfy but you can expect creaky floors, original woodwork, and a few quirks that come with age. The cabin is authentic, and thoughtfully kept. You will have TV, wifi, central heat, air conditioning but expect to hear the water pump run and there is no dishwasher.

From the bubbling hot tub, take in the country air and tranquility at this breathtaking 48 acre (completely private) two bedroom, two bath cabin centrally located between the Ark and the Creation Museum. Enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine around the majestic firepit overlooking the rolling meadows. Enjoy pristine ponds (with LED fountains) to fish and swim. Watch deer and turkey roam the property. Hike the trails which include a frisbee golf course designed to take in the scenery.

Red Fox Ridge Cabin Retreat - *No Cleaning Fee*

Unwind at this secluded retreat nestled quietly at the end of a wooded country road, along a rolling creek. The cabin was originally two cabins erected in the 1850s. In the 1970s, artist Jim Simon dismantled the log cabins and re-erected them on the Simon Family Farm. Red Fox Ridge was named for the red fox often spotted running the ridge overlooking the river. No neighbors! It’s not a big or fancy place but it’s clean, simple, and relaxing. The stars are brightest in the country when enjoying the fire pit. Our two story cabin has 1BR with two double beds, full kitchen, full bathroom, recliners, and grills. It's perfect for couples, friends, or small families. The Ark Encounter, Kentucky Horse Park, Keeneland, and several distilleries are all within an hour of the cabin. This is a great place to relax between visits to these attractions.

The Bourbon Coop

The Bourbon Coop is arguably the best situated location on the Bourbon Trail! It is a convenient walk or golf cart ride to Whiskey Thief distillery across the street. Situated a quarter of a mile off interstate 64, in between Louisville and Lexington, with a 15 minute drive into the city of Frankfort. The cabin is located on a beautiful, scenic plot of land, shared by the friendly hosts, chickens, ducks and a couple of goats. This is a comfortable, quiet and quaint country experience!

Three Pines Historic Log Cabin

Three Pines is a rustic log cabin located on 17 acres with a forest view. Originally constructed in the 1790s by a Revolutionary War veteran, it was relocated to the present location in 2011, where it was reimagined with added modern conveniences. The cabin is great for history buffs and those looking for some peace and quiet in a unique setting. The cabin can be rented with our other listing, The Lodge at Three Pines, which provides an additional bedroom, bathroom, and hang out space.

Refresh, rejuvenate, and relax in this dog-friendly home that has it all. Do morning yoga on the large wrap around deck. Soak in the hot tub with a complimentary bottle of wine. Rejuvenate in the sauna after a workout in the full gym. Relax on the deck off the second floor master bedroom overlooking the trees. Hike on the trails or throw out a blanket beside a bonfire beneath the stars as your pups run around, enjoying the 2+ fenced in acres. Or drive 10 minutes to Downtown Cincinnati.

Gopher Wood Getaway Cabin-NEAR Ark Encounter

Located about 20 minutes from the Ark Encounter, our Gopher Wood Getaway cabin offers a rustic and picturesque place for families to stay near the Ark. Enjoy 500 sq ft of living space inside the cabin that includes a fully equipped kitchen, a bunk room and full bathroom. Our cabin has heating, AC and electric over looking 84 acres of Kentucky Bluegrass. NOTE: Our cabins are truly a GETAWAY as we do NOT have any wi-fi or TV in them. Enjoy an unplugged getaway NEAR the Ark Encounter.

Guest House Monte Cassino Vineyards

The Guest House at Monte Cassino Vineyard, an architectural gem. At 650 sq ft, this free standing, studio loft space is a ground up restoration of an 1830s summer kitchen. Completed for 2016 season, it includes a kitchenette, with mini fridge, microwave and coffee machine. Outdoor grill is available as well. The living room has a fireplace and the bedroom loft is a designer's dream. Adjacent to the main house, the GH also includes use of the pool in season. Extremely private grounds.
