Just metres from Porthilly Beach on the stunning Camel Estuary, aptly named 'Little Tides' is a beautifully converted barn. The property is tucked away in a sought after cove location on the grounds of Porthilly Farm, just a short walk across the beach to Rock. This charming little gem is an idyllic coastal getaway perfect for romantic breaks, taking it easy by the sea or for adventurous getaways alike. We run a working dairy and shellfish farm and our oysters & mussels are grown in the estuary.

Visitor attractions in the local area includeThe Eden Project, Heligan Gardens, Bodmin Jail and the Port of Charlestown. A maximum of two small dogs are welcome free of charge.

Unique and perfectly situated coastal retreat

Unwind and relax in this historic gem of a home. There has been a mill on this site since 1298 and in 2019 we completely refurbished the current 18th century milll to a very high standard to ensure a truly comfortable and magical getaway. You'll be surrounded by trees, bird song and the constant sound of running water and the sight of our resident heron by the waterfall. The mill lies in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Daphne du Maurier country, on the Fowey estuary.

The decor is stylish, comfortable, a beautiful haven to sit and contemplate the breathtaking surroundings from. East of Newquay in the historic market town of St Columb Major, Agan Dyji (or "Our Little Cottage" in Cornish) is only 5 minutes drive away from the main A30 and just 10 minutes away from the amazing beach and facilities at Watergate Bay (including Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Cornwall restaurant). St Columb Major has good public transport links and Newquay Airport is an inexpensive taxi ride away (less than 4 miles). Come stay!
