The Roosevelt

I built this cabin in 1989, this property has a lot of history, it was part of the land that my father in law acquired from the Roosevelt program, I believe that was in 1932, he was one of the few original settlers. we have 25 acres we are in process of making walking trail that will wind back and forth through the entire property. will be a good chance of seeing all kind of wildlife including deer turkey, squirrels and all kind of birds. Cook a full meal in the kitchen, take a walk through the woods and fields near the cabin, and enjoy a campfire just outside your cabin. Bed is full size. 75x54 inches.

Woodland Cottage at Historic Brookfield Estate

Travel the tree lined drive to arrive at this historic cottage, nestled among the 17 acre estate built in 1875, offering a peaceful respite from city life. With mostly original finishings, the cottage provides a very rustic, woodsy appeal, complete with original, if not slightly uneven charmingly creaky floors, lots of beautiful trees and leaves, and many lovely birds and critters. You’ll love my place because of the arty style, the peaceful vibe and the beautiful lake view. The cottage is on 34 private acres and directly behind the main lake house.

You will only be a 12 minute drive to a thriving downtown, where you will find music, restaurants, and breweries. Just 2 miles from Wesleyan College and 4 miles from Mercer University.
