Lightwood Forest is in rural Surry County, on the south side of the James River, a short, free car ferry ride from Williamsburg and Jamestown, which runs 24/7, all year.

We are just minutes away from the Mobjack and Chesapeake Bays. Mathews is home to great restaurants with fresh seafood. We also have a wonderful farmer's market. Come enjoy!

You’ll find that Mallardee Farm will serve as its own attraction with our friendly, rescued farm pets, walking trails through the 57 acre property, complimentary fishing poles, canoe, row boat & kayaks to use on our 7 acre pond. Linens are fresh and clean, and there is plenty of private space with a large yard surrounding the house. Relax and enjoy Gloucester Main Street from a 1950's renovated home. From Mid Century Modern furniture and renovated retro appliances, you will be comfortable and hip in our home.
