Triple Nickel Getaway

Triple Nickel Getaway is a country setting approximately halfway between Athens and Marietta along beautiful state route 555 in Washington County. It is part of a metal pole barn This is a perfect place to relax for a few days and spend some. time fishing in a private, stocked pond (catch and release) while enjoying the woods frequented by wildlife. It is suitable for couples, business travelers, families and anyone who wants to enjoy the breathtaking beauty and history of southeastern Ohio.

The kitchen is fully equipped with coffee maker and outside gas grille. The bathroom has a tub/shower and was recently renovated. Cabin has 2 porches that offer great country views. Local tv, internet. Firepit in private backyard. Pets welcome with pet fee. We are NOT A BUG FREE ENVIRONMENT! You will see ladybugs,stinkbugs, wood beetle and more

For a limited time, Athens Krishna House - a Bhakti-Yoga and Meditation Center, is available for your tranquil getaway. No TV. For the sanctity of this unique space, No Smoking, No Meat, No Fish, No Eggs, No Alcohol, No Party in the house. We are sorry we cannot allow pets inside. Shoes need to be left in the foyer. The Creek House has all the countryside and space available to relax and enjoy pastoral settings. Right next to OldUS 33, close to OU campus for activities. The Creek is an original farmhouse built on a working farm, now retired. Farm and forest wildlife call the more than 40 acres home. While you may just enjoy the hiking and scenery the property provides, you are 2 min from Athens and the Ohio University Campus. Spacious free parking for campers, boats, and outdoor gear. Pet friendly.

The Cottage

This is a rural location. Located on an open hill along a private drive, this newly built -"little house on the prairie"- is surrounded by fields on one end and woods on the other. Nothing but stars at night -no neighbors nearby. Trails and ponds are available for your enjoyment. Swimming* and fishing is encouraged in the warmer months. A small outdoor fire ring is nearby. Hiking in the woods on the far side of the field will be off limits last week of October through thanksgiving.

Yellow Dog Barndominium

Our brand new barndominium is a 10 minute drive from Ohio University, yet sits on a 100+ acres in the country. You will find it located near the front of the property, feet away from a 16 acre private water ski lake with beautiful sunset views. Visitors can enjoy hiking, fishing and swimming during their stay. We designed this as a couples retreat, including a 4 person hot tub, but a second bedroom with a full bed and twin trundle can accommodate friends or family who may join you.

Athens County is rich in beauty, opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, local artisans and entrepreneurs, amazing food and beverages, and home to Ohio University. Although we are only 15 mins from Uptown Athens, we provide a great escape from the hustle and bustle of our small city, nestled in the woods.

Burr Oak Cabin

Burr Oak Cabin is nestled into the woods of Burr Oak State Park. Just a short walk or drive to Burr Oak Lake where you can enjoy fishing (license required), hiking, or boating. Hiking trails include various state park trails, the American Discovery Trail or the Buckeye Trail. Put in your own boat at the Dock 1 boat ramp (9.9 hp limit) or rent a kayak, canoe, fishing boat or pontoon boat. Rentals available April through October. We have wifi with a Roku smart Tv to stream.
