Watch the ferries go by and relax, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Enjoy breathtaking sunsets over the Olympic mountains, kayaking, BBQing, a forest hiking trail with sea and mount Rainier views, beach walks, and downtown Vashon (less than 10 mins away!). Please note: The parking lot is a few minutes walk from the cottage.

The Creamery

Nestled between the barn and the milking parlor is The Creamery; a relaxing spot to spend a few days far from the rigors of the city. Here we made Dinah's Cheese for years, and now you can enjoy the sunrise from the comfort of your plush bed, warmed by the thick down comforter. The French Limousin cows may come up to your bedroom window, curious as to who is sharing the pastures this morning. The quiet will be startling, with little noise but coffee brewing in the kitchen.

Secluded Serenity Cottage

Your journey to serenity is a lovely 5-to-8-minute walk down a historic hillside to the secluded community of Sunrise Beach. Walking down the private driveway you may see a family of deer on your left when you pass the Historical Marker. As you walk past the houses and cabins on the waterfront, you might be reminded of Silverstein’s charming “Where the Sidewalk Ends.” The reward for your journey will be the treasure waiting for you at “the prettiest cottage on the beach.”

The cottage, which is about 1300 square feet, has three bedrooms plus a sleeper couch in the living area, and one bathroom. Relax, explore the beach and sandy tideflats, enjoy a fabulous view of the Cascades, roast marshmallows over a campfire, and spot wildlife including harbor seals, otters, and bald eagles. This is a magical place for kids to play and explore!
