THE COOPERAGE was built in 1896 for one of the Ballarat Bertie Brewery's finest coopers - John Nice. This 4-bedroom Victorian Cottage is situated on a corner block with beautifully manicured gardens. Over the years, Ballarat's highly sought-after builders extended this house and added an amazing lantern style roof to bring an abundance of natural light in this beautiful home. Our mud brick home, is surrounded by eucalyptus trees and is bordering on the Enfield State Forest. The 3 bedroom home is an ideal quiet and peaceful escape from urban life, featuring a wood heater, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and laundry with a washing machine. Kangaroos often visit our backyard to feed on the grass. Lots of native birds can be spotted. We had a Tawny Frogmouth nest near the house and even a koala visit, recently.
