This room is street side and faces a meadow which is filled with lupines in the spring. Take the staircase to the shore, watch the tide change and look for your favorite shore bird - guillemots, loons and eagles are frequent visitors. Great Spruce Head room in the Oakland House Inn

Our innkeeping-family has been welcoming guests to the the Blue Hill Peninsula of Maine since July 4, 1889. We are perfectly situated directly on the saltwater of the Reach and the freshwater of Walker Pond. The Oakland House has two private ocean beaches. In the distance, you can see the Pumpkin Island Lighthouse and even the Camden Hills! Our guests also have access to the Blue Dot and Yellow Dot trails that lead up to a phenomenal view of the waterfront from Lookout Rock.

This room is part of the Merrybell Motel, a classic roadside motel on Rt 1. There is one queen bed in the room which comfortably sleeps two people. Attached to the room is a private bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. Amenities include a fridge, microwave, air-conditioning, heater, flat screen tv with DirecTV and high speed fibre internet. You can park your car right in front of your room. We take care of all the cleaning and laundry ourselves.
