Welcome to Blackberry Cottage! Our quaint, imperfect Farm Cottage was built in 1928 and much of it was updated in the spring of 2020. Come relax in the heated/cooled Cottage and enjoy the beautiful scenery and splendor that the Mountains of Western NC has to offer. Take day trips and visit the Blue Ridge Parkway, historic Waynesville, Canton, and Asheville then settle back into one of our cozy beds back at Blackberry Cottage... And don’t forget to visit our Nubian Goats Dolly, Daisy, and Dixie.

Unique Barn on an organic farm

When I built our barn a while back Airbnb didn't even exist and we were excited to be starting a goat dairy . Now the kitchen sits where we used to milk our sweet goats by hand! We are happy to offer our guests a unique living space located in the heart of the mountains, 30 minutes from Asheville. You are welcome to roam our 28 acres on our trail system, swim in the pond, and decompress from your daily routine. Cell service is limited but we have Fiber Optic Wifi for calling & streaming.

The location finds you just seven miles from Asheville, five to Black Mountain, and three miles from Warren Wilson College. You are close to hiking trails, local breweries and an eclectic choice of Asheville eateries. Biltmore Estate is 20 minutes away. For longer visits there are nearby grocery and pharmacies.

Appalachian Farm near Asheville. Amazing views!

Peaceful farm, walking distance to great restaurants. 1400s.f. Spacious living room with multiple glass doors to showcase the views. Well implemented kitchen. All one level. Master bedroom is a large room with two single beds, one queen; one daybed in great room . Viewing pond, horses, aloof but adorable alpacas, amazing dogs, and friendly young farm/barn cat. A very quiet place to recharge and relax. The private sitting and lounging porch has amazing mountain views. Private entrance.

Welcome to Mount Gilead Farm! We are a family-run working goat dairy and farm with lots of animals and even more stories. We offer a Provençal style room complete with a queen-sized bed, a full bathroom, a kitchenette, and Netflix.
